Membership at Royal Ascot Golf Club

The Royal Ascot Golf Club is a Members’ Club with around 600 golfers. The Club is run jointly by a Board of Directors and the Captain’s Committee who are elected from the membership.

Royal Ascot is the oldest golf club in the area, dating back to 1887. But it now plays on one of the newest and best courses in Berkshire, having moved from its old course on Ascot Heath in the middle of the racecourse in 2005.

When you join the Royal Ascot Golf Club you become part of the Club and you will be able to benefit from all the club activities, participate in competitions, enjoy our social events and meet new golfing friends. We have a comprehensive competition schedule ranging from the serious, to our 9 hole golf  and buffet evenings, and annual Charity Days. There are ‘roll-ups’ on most days which you can join or just come along with your friends and benefit from our ‘no tee time booking’ policy.

Memberships are available in Full 7 Day, 5 Day, Young Adults and Juniors, details of which are given on the price schedule. Our fees are very competitive in our area.

Social Membership

A Social Member will enjoy the full facilities of the Royal Ascot Golf Club except those pertaining to the Golf Course but will have no playing rights.

 Golf Academy Schemes

Interested in taking up golf or improving your skills?  Our Golf Academy Scheme offers the opportunity of developing your skills through a personalised structured programme tailored to the needs of the individual player.  The programmes include Social Membership of Royal Ascot Golf Club and those awarded a Golf Pass Certificate will be guaranteed entry into playing membership.

We offer the choice of Three Academy Programmes:

Junior Academy: Designed to provide potential Junior Golfers with the most comprehensive introduction to the game, and Advanced Courses are also available for those Juniors wishing to develop their game further.

Beginners Academy: Designed to provide potential New Golfers with the most comprehensive introduction to the game, and is aimed at those who wish to learn to play golf.

Intermediate Academy: Designed for those golfers who have some experience of playing golf but who are not yet confident to join a Members Club.  It is aimed at those who wish to improve their game.

Reciprocal agreements with other Golf Clubs

Royal Ascot Golf Club has entered into formal Reciprocal Agreements with a number of other Royal Golf Clubs located around the world. The purpose of these Reciprocal Agreements is to provide our membership with the opportunity to experience and enjoy the courtesy of playing some of the other 62 member Royal Golf Courses located throughout the world whilst welcoming our Royal Reciprocal visitors the opportunity to enjoy the new Royal Ascot golf course.
