Membership at Royal Ascot Golf Club
The Royal Ascot Golf Club is a Members’ Club with a large number of playing members.
The Club is a members club with no shareholders to satisfy and as such all revenues generated are ploughed back into the club to improve its services and facilities for the members.
Royal Ascot is the oldest golf club in the area, dating back to 1887. Originally the course was situated within the Ascot racecourse, but it now plays on one of the newest and best courses in Berkshire, having moved from its old course on Ascot Heath in the middle of the racecourse in 2005. Barry Lane said upon the opening of the course “ This is one of the finest news courses I have played”.
When you become a member of the Royal Ascot Golf Club you become part of the Club and you will be able to benefit from all the club activities, participate in competitions, enjoy our social events and meet new golfing friends.
We have reciprocal playing privileges with 14 Royal clubs worldwide, and 7 clubs within the British Isles - many quite local to us here at Ascot. We also have a comprehensive competition schedule ranging from the serious, to our 9 hole golf and buffet evenings, and annual Charity Days. There are ‘roll-ups’ on most days which you can join or just come along with your friends and benefit from our ‘no tee time booking’ policy.
Royal Ascot Golf Club mixes the traditional with the modern and as such has something to offer everyone. From Junior’s to Senior’s, Category one players to Social membership, “Party nights” to serious golf one thing is the same- you are a member of The Royal Ascot Golf Club!
